Final notice: Sunsetting Ionic Platform Alpha

Max Lynch

CEO

When we announced the Ionic Platform beta in March of this year, we informed the Ionic Platform userbase that we would be shutting down a number of our alpha services in order to transition to the much more robust beta platform that would soon become our production release mid-2016. We also released a beta migration guide that walked through the process of moving to our new APIs.

This is a final reminder that today, June 24th, 2016, we will be shutting down a number of alpha Ionic Platform services and any apps that have not yet transitioned will no longer function properly. For some services, the transition process is as simple as hitting a new endpoint with a new API token, for others there is a little more work involved but many of the features are the same if not greatly improved with the new services. Note: Analytics is not part of this shut down and we will have more information about that product shortly.

We made the tough decision to deprecate a number of old APIs to enable a much more scalable and powerful offering, and we’re excited to show you what’s coming next. Thank you for your understanding as we move forward.
